So succinctly, he's saying that hacktivists are creating zombie-computer botnets meant to be used for dissident groups to spread information, i.e. to Chinese dissidents; similar to how Twitter and Facebook were used in the Arab Spring, but co-opting other computers to set up these nodes.

You know, yeah...I actually do remember this episode. I mean, I watched it like 10 years ago, but if you'd mentioned it, even without pictures, I'd remember what happened.

Okay, Charlie: I love every word of your reviews of this and look forward to them, but there's one thing I desperately request: please stop calling him "Joffrey Bieber".

"Case Closed"? You haven't proven anything.

I think the *only* reason was that fans are wary after the fourth and fifth films are so bad. Give it a week or two for word of mouth to build up about how good it was; I just saw it and openly declared it *better* than the first and second films.

I'll keep this short: that makes no sense. The retcon they established was that the Final Five were traveling from KobolCylon-Earth to the 12 Colonies, albeit at sub-liminal speeds. How could they possibly have an interactive transmission across such vast intergalactic distances? Its more of the writers trying to

They pulled this stunt in the early 1990's. It was the end of everything.

I didn't know why a replicant would collect photos. Maybe they were like Rachael. They needed memories.

His character didn't have substance abuse problems. His boss Garibaldi did. And everyone particularly Zack was upset about it. Which only adds to the grim irony that he himself had substance abuse problems in real life.

Well, the way I heard it, Theo got a girl pregnant, and when he asked his father Bill what to do in this serious situation, Bill proceeded to tell a non sequitor, incoherent, rambling anecdote from his child in Funky North Philly....which did not, ultimately, resolve the situation. This led to the show's

Mr. Bubbles is not a robot.

Well on the eastern continent Essos, the Valyrian Freehold used Dragons for years....but then the Doom of Valyria happened. Not really sure what it is exactly, though its implied to be heavy magic use in a civil war or something. In short, "brave men killed them all" at one point or another.

Notice that they only have two legs, with the forward limbs being wings: GRRM has been very particular about this — complaining when artwork gets it wrong, and gives them wings *in addition to* four legs, for a total of six limbs (like Smaug from The Hobbit). They're like Bats; two legs, two wings.

    God help us all.

The greatest irony, showing just how low Viserys had fallen, is that Dany makes it clear in the books how shocked he is that he would steal her wedding-present Dragon Eggs.....because she'd have given them to him if he had asked her.

Milhouse: "So in closing, if you just get up a little extra early and have a spare set of sheets on hand, everyone will be none the wiser. Back to you, Lisa."

I'm not "sad" about 17th Precinct; only in the sense that I'm "disappointed" at everything I ever heard about the project. (conversely, I actually really liked RDM's other failed pilot, "Virtuality")

Can io9 do a mega-post that not only rounds up *all* new scifi shows on TV (including cable), but also keeps a scorecard of which old shows are returning, and which were canceled?

Once Upon a Time (ABC), The Secret Circle (CW), and Grimm (NBC) are the only ones that *don't* have failure written all over them. I'm not even particularly looking forward to one of these three, though.
