****In the DC animated universe of Bruce Timm, Bane was indeed a major villain (he almost broke Batman's back like in the comics but was interrupted at the last second)

OKay, I'm calling it now: EVERYONE in the village is a werewolf....but it only starts when you lose your virginity. Whole metaphor thing going on. So the idea is that Red Riding Hood doesn't know this because she hasn't had sex yet, and throughout the movie there will be subtle hints that *everyone* else knows this

Apparently, the aliens are here for our water resources. Their entire biology and technological base seems depended on water, more than humans.

    Now playing

"Batman is well known to have had a dalliance and...more, than a dalliance, with Catwoman..." — "The Psychology of Batman" ( 2:42 )

Our fathers were our models for God, so when our fathers bailed, what did that tell you about God? We're a generation of men raised by women. Is another woman, what we really need?

I honestly think the DOD would have standing orders "not to talk about UFOs" even if, as is probably the cast, they don't know particularly much more about them than we do.

Emilia Clark = Daenerys! Fire and Blood!

"How does Kevin Costner keep getting work?" — Chris Griffin

    Noooooo!!!

@FiletOfBaby: most Tolkien fans know this. I mean, its all in the Prologue right at the beginning of FOTR, the author' forward. What, people skip those?

To be honest, I took the year off after Dollhouse.

I can't believe people confuse mind-altering drugs with a "spiritual experience"....while I can see at least the logical argument of "we should have the right to take mind-altering substances" and I disagree with it (I don't even think alcohol was a great idea)...the whole "drugs are a religious experience" thing?

Another *major* change in the revised edition of The Hobbit that Tolkien was very strict about: tomatoes do not exist in Middle-earth.

I am not a racialist, BUT...and this, is a big "but"....

@kiyo-chan: Well you performed music professionally so that makes sense. Yes, someone actually focusing on a music career would be different (though Chua also said sports are a distraction...which I think is very arbitrary, and if anything, high school football taught me the discipline and vital social skills needed

I agree with Chua's point that this has been taken to something of an extreme, every household has yelling or stern parenting at some point. I'm not "horrified" like child abuse or something, but I still strongly disagree.

    God help us all.

    This ugly Smarch weather.
