Well, put it this way, those are just geographical changes. Old areas have been changed. Each gym is entirely different from their previous incarnations. Each gym also has it's own remix of the gym theme. the backgrounds in battle have some subtle differences.

Hey, I like the Tron themed keyboard. I like my crazy blue lights :P.
