Because the average 2013 customer doesn't want that anymore. They want status symbol and gadgets. Use a car for a few years and then sell it for the next gadget fest. I would thoroughly enjoy owning a barebones w124, or 126. Completely impossible to find now in the US that wont cost as much as a new Mercedes to fix.

W126? I hope to one day get a 126 but it seems they are getting too rare in even OK shape. People buy them and then dont take care of them and sell them again for the same amount they bought them for. Very annoying.

Is your city broke or something? How has a road like that not been fixed? That is bordering on un-drivable in anything other than a 4x4. I thought the few deep holes and patches around my area were bad..
