The only possible silver lining on this to me is that maybe this is a high-profile enough name getting raked through the mud and pulling a swift 180 on microtransactions for it to maybe finally be noticed by other companies as a bad idea with regard to customer goodwill.

Is this basically Nintendo approving pika-ing up skirts? Seems like bad form.

^ This. A million times this. Between keyboard and mouse being worlds apart from a controller for FPS play, and the fact that EVE is already established on the PC, I could never understand why the hell they released this only on PlayStation.

or you can always disable automatic Windows updates entirely.

Yes, this already happened to someone I know, possibly even before it became a recommended upgrade (she indiscriminately clicked on and followed through the Win10 upgrade wizard icon thing in the systray).

Starred for “the sequel is a pile of radioactive dog shit”. Couldn’t put it better myself. Holy crap was that game a phone-in and a let-down. I couldn’t bear to continue playing it.

Except when their links link to 3 or 4 other gawker media pages which means EVEN MOAR PAGE HITS WOO

I’d still like to see a localization of robotics;notes first and foremost... I really liked that anime but got the impression it left out a ton.

Yeah, that’s precisely the thing. Companies typically want a quick-fix unicorn master of all trades, when that’s not (usually) how it works. The phrase is “jack of all trades, master of none” for a reason. You either go for breadth first, or depth.

Ha, yeah. Saw a great one the other day for a horribly generic “full-stack developer” (another thing that turns me off) position, where Company Name, Headquarters, and URL were all “will be provided via e-mail”. And while the description was vague, it did include “urgent bug fixes” (see “urgent need” on chart). Neeext!

“Rockstar”, “ninja”, etc. definitely turn me off immediately. I want to work with humble, honest people who are going about things the right way, serious about learning/understanding, and are legitimately trying their best. I do not want to work with a bunch of immature hipsters who think they know everything but are

Years of “experience” can be laughably meaningless, too.

This seems more oriented towards Web designers than Web developers. Or at the very least, much more oriented towards Web site developers than Web application developers. It’s frustrating how many things tend to get conflated into one title.

Square Enix: Squandering goodwill by imposing artificial scarcity on a non-physical product.

With the way crane games tend to eat money, getting to keep all of the candy they won seems more than reasonable. Karma’s a bitch, and it’s not their fault your crane has bugs.

If JAST USA owns those licenses now, I wish they’d get a damned move on in general. I’d love for Robotics;Notes to be released here too...

What is this “overdressing salad” you speak of?

But you don’t employ Oxford commas? :(

So I guess Apple’s latest trend is things that you need to charge in the most onerous non-productive way possible, between this and the iPencil...

So does this mean people actually bought the shitfaced mobilitis FF V port for PC, or just that Square Enix doesn’t listen to its fans?
