@cobrajoe is being sued by Shelby: How did they cause the crash? The only thing I can think of is the repealing a lot of the post-Great Depression restrictions. Was there something else I missed?

@GasGuzzler: Yep. Ford getting a line of credit was in all of the articles back when GM and Chrysler were getting completely bailed now.

Dear Chrysler,

@zerobandwidth: Is confused by your implication that Vipers can't handle.

@parabellum2000: Yeah, the World Engine isn't exactly a world-class 4-cylinder. I'm not quite sure what Chrysler was thinking with that one.

Ok, ok, it's not actually my favorite, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

@X-cchannel-M: If I remember correctly, the rumor mill inside Chrysler said at the time they approached the execs with both the Compass and the Patriot, expecting them to, of course, pick the Patriot.

I still hold the opinion that if the Compass and Caliber did not exist, the Patriot would be a much more well-respected vehicle.

Just keep hating on the unions, guys. The rich don't mind at all.

I don't know about the Catera. They're relatively rare, RWD, and even if they are badge-engineered, the other copies aren't sold in the US.

@Uncle Spiegel Fester: Wisconsinite here. It's more likely to be a Silverado than an F-150 in my experience.

@MR42HH: Yeah, a lot of their contributors are great, as you mentioned. The Niedermayer brothers, though... Not the greatest.
