@GV_Goat: Oh, the picture I posted is of a Jeep J8. It's a military verson of the Wrangler sold overseas. Larger brakes, upgraded axles, different suspension with leaf springs in back. The payload capacity is 2,952 lbs.

@GV_Goat: They have the greasy bits available to make it a truck.
@Hart88: I kind of feel like Fiat and Chrysler are going to take this quality control issue on like a support group.
@M664 @GasGuzzler: Oh look! I found the concept for that!
@suss6052: Yes yes, I do forget about that one. Everytime I see one (fairly common for such a limited production vehicle, yay Midwest!) my first gut reaction is Pontiac G5 or Cavalier.
@_Ko0LaiD_: The only Australian car I can think of that was sold in the US recently is the Pontiac G8. That could actually put up some impressive numbers XD
@38thsignal: I do believe that's already taken XD
@38thsignal: Agreed.
@underwear-ninja: The 5 Year PowerPoint Plan shows the nameplate continuing on a new platform starting 2013.
@38thsignal: Agreed. If the price cracks 6 digits, it's death of the Viper as we knew it, and the birth of something else.
@underwear-ninja: Hey, the Jeep Comanche was a unibody truck. All is not lost.
More details just got posted over at Allpar.
@Dusty_Duster: Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It does all of its platformy duties well, such as stiffness and safety. There's really nothing wrong with PM/MK/JS.
@teknoboy66: To me, it just looks like an awful dropped Range Rover.
I was looking for another reason to never buy a GM car. I found it!
@loveableterror- has an SRT and knows how to wield it!: If it wasn't for the ugly head gasket issues near the beginning of the life of the Chrysler Neon engines, something tells me they'd still be used (in updated form) today. Those engines can produce beastly amounts of power and take to boosting quite well.
I can drive a manual. I can successfully get the car around town without worrying about little things.
