if you want to get the lore I recommend looking into “If the emperor had a text to speech device” youtube series. basically its a fan based parody series that goes through a lot of the lore and takes the piss out of it just pointing out how ridiculous things are. friggen hilarious too

Yep. the emperor specifically went out of his way to stop religion because of all of its fault and even specifically said he isnt a god just a normal human that has reached the potential all humans have and may eventually get to. and the moment he no longer was able to say no stop dont they built a religion around him…
