That later Saturn SC2 is pretty good for a low seating small ecobox. The thrid door made those backseats usable and with the rear folded I could get 6 foot ladders in the car. with the front seat in reasonable positions.

To me it was always had weird body proportion issues. It tried to fit too much onto a little car. It ended up looking horrible. In contrast the Maverick was a pretty good looking car. About the same size, a bit smaller I guess, but without the visual busyness. I'd take one over the Mustang 2 if I have to live with it.

The SCX is cool, but I never understood why GM could never put this engine in a car 300LBs lighters with a decent suspension. The Quad-4, dispite its upkeep woes, was barnstomer. If that would have put the Quad-4 in something like the Saturn SC2 it would have been quite a potent package.
