I never view my car-guyness with a "better than others" attitude. In fact I see it as a bit of a weakness. And I'm not a one-brander. I find myself obsessing over cars others would call crap. I spent weeks last month debating the purchase of an 84 MkII Supra L (which I didn't buy). I've spent weeks deciding if I

He drove it only 1000K miles? I put almost that many miles on my Esprit just last week. I should be the Lotus CEO.

Another pic.

I bought this '93 Subaru Legacy for $75. A couple of trips to the yard for upgrades and some new tires brought the total to $475. The car has working electric everything and working AC. Other than spills, melted crayons in the interior and completely failed shocks, it was in pretty great shape. Perfect body.

The SVT died because it became near redundant with the Focus ST. The ST was basically as fast as the SVT and didn't need the slightly more exotic engine technology to accomplish the same feat.

Hmmmm, likelihood the assault rifle is real? Probably 0.

They have and they'll probably give us a year or 2 with the NA model then put the turbo out. Pretty common way to launch turbo versions of cars. I'll happily pick up an NA model once the turbo comes out and makes the older ones cheaper.

Probably would have been a better outcome if they closed the doors back up. It probably would have still lead the the loss of the car, but it would have had a fighting chance. Fire needs air.

No, because if you are going lightspeed, time is at a stand still to you. You are going the speed of light, things are super slowed down, basicly stopped. You couldn't flip a switch and if you could, (let's say you were a bit slower than light, so you can perform actions) the speed of light would seem exactly the same

Sorry to go all Jalopnik on this but The Spy Who Loved Me is the best because Lotus submarine. Which is almost "Because Racecar" in terms of reasons to win any contest.

Agreed I thought is was stupid.

I drive about 100miles a day; Albuquerque to Santa Fe NM. I listen to music, but I also play the Eco game. This may sound lame for non car folks or folks with shorter commutes, but basicly I use a smart phone and OBD2 adaptor and try to get better MPG scores than past days. I don't allow myself to be a hazard, no

I guess we should ignore where Mazda replaced engines for excessive oil consumption and loss of compression? Mazda must have replaced all of the those engines for fun.

Posted once, but it seems like that post is gone (new posting system still sucks). The RX8 was a massively over-hyped, overly large, poor MPG, 4 seat sportscar with reliability issues and limited mod path. I love them; But I know they would have been far better with a turbo 4 or if it were much more like the FD RX7.

Omne thing missed that I think is the largest benefit is how much more eco-friendly they are when compared to CFL bulbs or other florescent bulbs.

That is called dealer markup and at those prices no one should buy one so the dealer gets the message to stop that crap.

I love it , but it is a little too expensive.

GirchyGirchy is 100% correct. The Prius, while hated by many, was ground breaking.

They spent less than they promised to. They got a lot and threw it all away, claiming it isn't what they wanted. They never made all of their money back on their investment but that is because they stomped on it.

But none of that was the cars fault. The cars were great, it is really hard to say they were over hyped. Design a car, then leave the design alone for 13 years in a market where your competitors redesign every 4-6 years. Mechanicly, the Saturn received very few updates. It was a great car in 1991. It didn't get worse
