You and half these commenters do not know one single thing about what you’re talking about.

Pay pirates to keep operating a free server?

An important part of IP law is image. The reason Nostalrius was a prime target for being shut down is that it was all over the media, and getting very popular. Allowing them to continue operating presents a real threat to their ability to protect, and maintain control over, their intellectual property. You’re right,

He kept that part in (about not being funny enough) on accident. He says, in the video, that he tried really hard to be funny during his playthroughs. That’s not authentic.

His job depends on those thousands of anonymous individuals. It matters what they find disagreeable. The job of anyone in PR hinges exclusively on public opinion. If he wanted to keep his job he shouldn’t have flown into a profane, blind rage at someone who donated money to his stream.

It doesn’t matter what he thinks, it matters what he said. To someone who donated him money. And who thanked him for a positive impact in his life. He’s an ungrateful prick. If the community doesn’t want to support someone who flies into a blind rage at the drop of a hat, then they have every right to voice that.

Just because it doesn’t affect how the game plays doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect the game. People who don’t like it can play something else.

Because they don’t plan for those injuries. They often have months of matches and storylines scripted out ahead of time, and they have to deal with the injury in a way that preserves what they already have planned.

Also, Jericho wanting his opponent to get medical attention would break the illusion of them being

It’s still in alpha.

“Shit” doesn’t mean “not fun”. If a game is broken, has an empty world and lacks basic mechanics, I think that’s a good reason to call a game shit. Whether or not people enjoyed it is kind of beside the point. Especially considering people who review these kinds of games tend not to enjoy them for their quality but

I don’t understand the “entitled brats” part. Customers aren’t entitled to a working game?

Right, or: he’s a person with an opinion. Care to elaborate, or are you just gonna be the guy that hates the thing everyone likes?

I would bet that even in a VR situation, they would still be looking at where the shots are coming from because that’s what we’re wired to do.

“React” is incredibly generic. It is a simple verb. They’ve already initiated copyright takedowns on numerous other channels. Whether or not you are sure of the actual scope of their protections, they are clearly abusing the takedown system to “protect” their brand.

Really? This is the reason?

Just listened to the latest episode of Radiolab, featuring Reply All’s story on the Greens and this game. Powerful stuff. I think the name is a bit too on-the-nose, though. For all it evokes in my mind, they might as well have just called it “Cancer Quest”.

Competitive games tend to have a very long life. Is this your first introduction to competitive gaming or something? Smash, Tekken, Street Fighter.. are you serious? Older entries in those franchises are still alive and well at conventions and tournaments all around the world.

Calling bullshit? Why? The alternative is to just accept that it’s not possible to not kill anyone in this game.. but we’ve seen that it is. So your outlook here is really rather useless and uninteresting.

Uhh.. do you think this is the first game in the series or something? The “4” in the name should tip you off. Pacifism was absolutely a possibility in earlier games. Why is that “ridiculous”?

As a PC gamer- unexciting? I find my PS4 incredibly exciting.
