And? She didn't. So all of the hypothetical 'what ifs' are meant as nothing but some statement about how this is an example of bad parenting.

She was holding on and slid like three feet when she lost her grip. As someone who can't even jump into the deep end of a pool from the height of 10ft because of the constant drilling in my head, as a child, that I would paralyze myself if I did so, I'm glad this parent didn't freak out.

Little kids are bouncy and much less prone to injuries. However, you could tell the little girl was freaked out immediately after the fall but since her mom didn't freak out she got over it and then said it was great.

Hey world... ANY IT Nerd will tell you to not utilize any company resources for private purposes. Like, ever. A more astute nerd (which I am one) will tell you to be wary of utilizing your own computer for posting on (most likely, tracked) websites. Yes, I understand the irony in posting this.

Reading might be your first step.

This sentiment reminds me of some piece of news... is it fiction? Or reality? Basically, rich people and sociopaths get to kill people all wily nilly for 24 hours.

I have no need to read further. This is amazing.

Following your logic, I wouldn't exist. I've done (and continue to do) things that benefit society as a whole. I volunteer with CASA and I've taken the incredible blessings I've been given and not only return that with various charities but with dropping money and tips to waitstaff, bartenders, guides, etc. along the

You're my new favorite.

Precisely.

I would take Condie Rice or Hillary Clinton as models of how to break 'stereotypical perceptions about women' rather than Beyonce.

And bad taste.

I could see myself making some type of agreement with the one man I could have ever envisioned having a child with. Our combined genetics would be fucking astounding and beautiful ;).

I'll never forget the look of a superb human-model mix down in Australia that told me that tips were not welcomed and not expected. It was my first night out down in Sydney and he could tell I was from a tipping culture so he flat out refused.

You're lucky, when I waitressed/bartended we gave the kitchen 10% of total SALES. So... our tips didn't even come into it.

I think there's a huge difference between high end bars/restaurants and run of the mill chains like Olive Garden.

We had to tip out 10% of sales regardless of tips to the kitchen staff. So if anyone left the standard 15% I only received 5% of it.

I hate this phrase but THIS!!! I tried my best to work my butt off when I was a bartender/waitress and I work my butt off to ensure I give my clients exceptional service now that I'm salaried. People who say 'well, I'd work harder if I was paid more' are just giving excuses for their lazy behavior. Take pride in your

You are so ridiculously cute!

I definitely agree with the others about saying how you don't appreciate those comments and they are hurtful. I know people who struggle with weight don't need to be told to be the better person (trust me, I've always been fit but these last couple of years have just been a struggle). Anyway, I work with a few women
