Yep. My credit card debt is under $5000 and I *still* think that's too much even though I could pay it off right now if I wanted to without adversely affecting my life.

30K in debt, unless you're easily making 6 figures and can pay that off annually, is quite a bit of debt for elective surgery. This wasn't forced upon her as a medical necessity, or an education or a home.

Although the real life male model wasn't a bad choice either!!

You're not a terrible person. Your choice to lie about actually having a service dog is a selfish and inconsiderate choice. Lucky for you (and all of us) none of us should be judged by one mistake.

Thanks... I tried to make similar arguments (although I didn't bust out this specific link) on the Gawker article and while I had plenty of support, plenty others called me a sociopathic asshole. I liked to the VA, the ADA and her homestate of New Hampshire regulations and people still piled on.

I didn't know this bit of trivia!! And I love Archer! And McDermott!!

Yeah, why not 'Internet bigots decided to send hateful mail to a stranger'

I guess it's just so alien to me. I can be shy with men I find attractive by not looking them in the eye. But everyone else I interact with? I would feel weird not making eye contact especially if I was speaking to them.

That's why I take pride in knowing I'm an asshole!! ;).

Yeah, trusting family (especially parents) to be unbiased about their little cash cow probably isn't a good idea.

I have nothing to add aside from the fact that I had an overwhelming sense of deja vu when reading this comment.

I will admit I wasn't Christina's biggest fan in the first season but I have learned the error of my ways and she is amazing.

What the heck kind of God complex is he walking around with? Not allowing people to look him or his family in the eye???

In all seriousness, thank you for your service. I spent some time in the AF as well and while my eyesight cut my dreams of being any kind of pilot short (although I know that's changed now) I was able to interact with all kinds of pilots on a professional level (fighters and bombers).

My heart broke for Jada. Evil... pure, cruel evil hurt this young woman.

I was just about to post that exact same quote.

I worked in a small squadron that had several fighter pilots* in it. They were all attractive and one would stop every single time he saw me and say with a grin that made me want to melt 'look at you... trouble' with a wink and then walk off.

Oh I just watched it. Haha. I'm not a superfan.

That creepy goblin baby lives on in nightmares even to this day... I thought one of the most fucked up things was the daughter actually killing herself.
