This is the Church of Scientology building in Downtown Buffalo, NY. At a recent "re-dedication of the church" they apparently had "1,000 members" attend. Hard to argue with that type of presence, if accurate. Either way, the building still stands and there are clearly folks in there 5 days a week:

I live in a south american country, and scant blocks from my house there is a building with a big "Cienciologia/Dianetica" sign in front of it.

There's an actual Church of Scientology in the neighboring town, Englewood NJ. There are a lot of celebrities and rich folk that live in the area of Englewood Cliffs which neighbors Englewood so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I worked with one. She never really talked about it at work, but she left to move down to some big facility they have in Florida. Her whole family were Scientologists, she was raised into it.
