Really it’s not that bad.. The torque is in a very useable range once you’re out of the torque-limited 1st gear. Not to mention it’s only a few easy-peasy clicks from a Regal GS tune.
This is one of the reasons I bought one.. The looks and the stick..
So then maybe the question should be... Would you recommend this over an ELR?

Even having a ‘14 sport w/401A since new, it’s way better than the ‘13 SHO w/perf pkg it replaced. It sounds like any ‘90s twin-turbo V6 Japanese sportscar with the Corsa exhaust system. The only thing that’s a bit odd is the spacing of the gears. It also seems to be really wide. Thank goodness for those power folding…

The 5.3 Tahoe/Yukon have the 6-speed and the Denali and Escalade have the 8-speed.
