According to the service manual only the fender rear bracket needs to be removed, not the entire fender.
It’s not a good neon burnout unless the clutch tries to escape through the hood..

#1 reason I wouldn’t daily a C4 is the incredibly tiny footwell. Even with an automatic I pressed both pedals on occasion with my size 13 feet.
However, these appear to be an old bosch platinum. For some reason cars with waste-spark ignition systems would develop misfires with them. Also, they no longer make this style center electrode with the single-electrode platinum.
The major stuff isn’t horrible. Sure, I can’t get the little trim strip that’s bubbled up on my dash but that’s on the short list of what’s unavailable. The mechanical bits are pretty well covered in the US between a Regal, LaCrosse and/or SRX.
