It's probably a packaged option grouped with a ton of other things you don't want for eleventy billion dollars.

Not to mention with higher static compression!
Also... AWD = you can make that tight turn without bucking.
Yay! real switches!
This just makes me hate my electronic parking brake even more...
I think you're confusing the original (GMT800) parallel hybrid with the newer (GMT900) 2-mode hybrid. The nice thing about the original one is that the hybrid system could be used as a 2400W generator.
We've had GM Quadrasteer trucks int he family since 2004, Issues have all been minor and relatively easily fixed. The maneuverability is second to none in a full size pickup! I've found it very easy to adapt to the way it handles, and it's a blast to drive in the snow because it's so predictable.
Agreed! I took a Nissan cube on the tail of the dragon (I'll wait for you to stop laughing)... The CVT performed very admirably, It was always near the right ratio and no silly up and downshifts from an automatic all the time! The bad ones are what kills it, I have a friend who can't stop complaining about the CVT in…
RWD Volvo owners. They have been the most helpful and kindest of any I've ever experienced. Any time your car is borked, someone's bound to know the answer, and have what you need to fix it, or some obscure factory tool that's no longer available. They even tolerate and help with other types of cars (true jalops?).…
Nice, I wish the turbochargers had a little more voice on the Taurus and Explorer.
Not a huge fan of the 240 series, but if I had to pic it would have to be a 242GT.
Had a 740 for a while about 10 years ago. It was great, hard to believe with how much "better" the other cars since have been that I miss the old '89 740 Sedan, Black with red leather. Although mine may have not been quite as honest having the obscure B234F 16v-DOHC 4-cylinder. The power was decent and the power…
So glad I got to see what was here and on the jumbotron versus half a TV screen.
Is the pentastar missing here?
HANDbrake is definitely more fun. ;-)
I think it's a regional thing... My dad never sets his unless it's a manual transmission and he has to let it run without being in the car. My neighbor of similar generation always sets his parking brake. But he's from the Pittsburgh area which is quite hilly.
You may think abomination, I drove both of them and prefer the older SRX over the new one as far as driving experience. The new one just has more whiz-bang.
Not that ford is much better. They just disable the radio.
Nobody gets 'em. Nobody understands the appeal, until they drive one. Then they are immediately part of the fold and talk about their 9-5 and compare it to the 850 Monte Carlo because they're distant cousins. They also only take their car to [insert the only Saab shop in the region, with a couple acres worth of shells…
The race will be on Sunday, May 25th on ABC. Coverage starts at 11 AM. Or just do what I'm doing and go to the track.
