GM Ecotec "Family II"
I absolutely loved my B234F, it was one of the most fun "boring" cars I've ever had. By far the best matched powertrain, and I normally don't like automatics, however it really was maintenance dependent. The B230FT got you about the same power with the reliability of a tractor, even if it didn't sound or rev like…
Which is kinda ironic because the 4T65-E is behind some of the fastest modified FWD cars on the road (or track).
Had a Taurus SHO and now it's counterpart Explorer Sport. It's amazing how similar they are, and how much more comfortable the Explorer is...
The Explorer is an American made hopefully more reliable XC90....
First, Why does everything have to be part of a package?? Second, why can't you get crazy colors like Valencia Orange with the M Sport package??
That's really a bad pic. That GTZ is actually maroon (Medium Garnet Red to be exact). For 1990, grey was the only interior color. 1991-1993 did not have the door mounted seatbelts and the 1990 was not available in bright red.
I know y'all are thinking "it can't be THAT bad". Let's just say it's on it's second life to keep the story short. When I got it, there were 5 reassignments on the title with the second being an insurance company. My other cars may have been cheaper, older and higher mileage but they weren't that bad for what they…

Nice! I was just playing the still fun albeit outdated even when it was released Carmageddon 2 the other day!
And yet they all used to be great in their own way.....
If they only didn't weaksauce the powertrain with the 4.1 and craptastic gearing.
Used is great, especially when it's something mainstream or that only came in a specific configuration. I've bought new when it's something oddball though, like my current Saab 9-5 Turbo4 6-speed manual. It was priced like buying it used, even though I got a MCO. Same with my old DD 2004 Oldsmobile Alero 5-speed…
I'd take a Buick over a Lincoln....
Even with a little bit of love and about $200 in some nice aluminum parts, a 4L60-E can shift faster than you.
I was just going by the most recent similar colored "performance" car. Usually see that kind of color on econoboxes or crazy italian supercars. I know someone who has a similar electrolyte green Hyundai Accent.
That's orignal...
I was thinking this as well.. The base model S350 to the S63AMG is a whopping £57,725 difference. That's about $95K. Of course we haven't gotten a 6-cylinder S Class in the US since 1999. The price spread may have been even further when they were making 4-cylinder models.
The P2 base to "R" maybe an even better one, although I do have a soft spot for the 850R.
Agreed! The new ones look like they belong on a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire.
