Yeah, I paused when I got to that, too.
Yeah, I paused when I got to that, too.
I thought it was really weird how the article just dropped that and ended abruptly. Like, did she explain to her son that “cool kids” are not immune to being sexually abused?
I’d be happy to go my whole life without hearing my mom describe my dad’s penis in any way.
Honestly I just want to know which dress goes with each mythological figure so I can judge the whole thing on that criteria alone.
“And you are to love those who are greys, for you yourselves were foreigners in the pending comments.”
I actually know quite a bit about this accent and region. You see, she’s from Camden, a mere river away from Phildelphia, and speaks what is known as the “philadephia dialect”of the english language. this should be noted, as distinct (Althought related to) from the dialect in north jersey which follows like upstate…
Yea I should learn to wait before commenting really. I read the tweets the white woman who held the sign wrote and her purpose to provoke discomfort. I do get it now.
“I feel like if you’re at this march you already do.” You’re very optimistic. I know many, many white women who attended the march, and perhaps 1/3 of them have spoken to other WW who voted for Trump about themselves. Obviously they’re anti-Trump, but they don’t feel a responsibility to their “community” the way WOC…
You guys are nothing if not predictable.
I’m gonna sound like an ass when I say this and I don’t really mean to, but I can’t necessarily think of a better way to say it so: Why should they feel great?
Yes, WOC being mistrustful of white women as they have never been given a real reason to trust them is just “bitching.” sounds kinda familiar....Oh, I know! Like liberals “bitching” about the new Trump administration! Funny how that works.
I think the point was to bring attention to the fact that people have been protesting for a while now with little to no help. If the new people are truly wanting to make a difference and are committed to shaping the future, I doubt they would be discouraged reading this.
It’s not good enough. You don’t get a cookie for this. It’s literally the least one can do (besides not showing up). I don’t need to be respectful of people who haven’t earned respect. I respect people who show up to BLM protests time after time. I respect people who phone bank for campaigns, and canvass. I respect…
I think you can becuase I just did.
“I was totally aware of Yolanda” is also delicately vicious, completely wiping out the exhortations of Yolanda having been “a great model”. Well played, Rebecca...
I wish you had looked. I would want to look.
I am really, deeply sorry for your troubles, but I also want to know I am shaking silently from laughing so hard, so know your pain was not truly in vain, for it brought this stranger temporary joy.
This is very timely.
Good luck to you! I’m terrified of losing my coverage, i have Medicaid through the state (the best thing Jan Brewer did for Arizona). After I got coverage last year I was finally able to see a dctor and get diagnosed with lupus. My immune system is waging a war on my liver and I’m so scared I won’t be able to continue…
