I love mine as well, but releasing firmware updates is a low bar for console support. When’s the last time they updated it in any meaningful way? And while there are plenty of niche and classic titles, I couldn’t ever recommend it to anyone at full price, as it just doesn’t feel like a well-rounded game catalog.

I would rather buy multiple versions of the 3DS before I ever buy another Sony handheld. The Vita and PSTV were poorly supported by Sony, and marketed as “remote play” accessories for the PS4.

Any year with a Pokemon and Monster Hunter release is a good year for the 3DS.

It’ll sell better for the Wii U because it’s just as much the replacement for the 3DS. I have a hard time believing that a Nintendo handheld with an open world Zelda and the inevitable next generation of Pokemon games won’t sell better than the Wii U.
