Well .... no guarantee their computers and ours could even interact ... hell their very minds could work differently from ours ... also, do you mean them finding our tech contemporarily with us still being around or way after in the future? I don't think any of our tech would long survive the harsh Martian sand storms

Heh, took me a bit, but i see whut yu did thyr. ;)

..... technical difficulties .... suuuuuuuuuure .... ALIENS!!!!!!

Right on! :)

The moons will still get pelted by an impressive amount of ice, not sure how badly, but we might see new craters on both Deimos and Phobos after this is done, whether or not papa Mars gets one on the chin.

... curiosity killed the cat ... comet killed curiosity?

The last info I read on this estimates the comet nucleus to be between 15 and 50 km wide. If it hits straight on at current velocity ... well ... it wouldn't be pretty for Mars or the rovers ....

Bravo sir! Now there's a chap plucky enough to make omelets of this basket of eggs!

You had me at 'pretty green martian girls' ..... sigh :)

I would SO play the hell out of that game, son!!!

Well, if a celestial impact smashed into Mars hard enough to disrupt the heating currents within the planet to the point they allowed the rock to cool, it could very well have caused the core to stop spinning thereby pulling an Obi-Wan boooooop on the martian magnetic field, leaving the atmosphere free to be blasted

Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine: et lux perpetua luceat ei. Amen!

If he starts now ... he might just make it out of the impact zone ... it's either that or hope to hell they packed a shovel among all those instruments!

Argh! Inside me there are two voices, wrestling: the concerned scientist worried about the investment in jeopardy up there (data, money, hardware, time, etc.); and the little boy who loves to watch things go BOOM!!!!

Indeed! The free symmetry of a Gallente frigate joined to the silhouette of an angel. Superb.

Lol, excellent answer!

Words fail me, sir. Well done. That sound you hear is the puckering of my annulus in morbid humiliation.

..... its .... its coming .... r-r-run .... now :(
