That statement set off huge red flags. Ben Carson is a world-class neuro-surgeon, but he knows practically nothing about anything else; that’s especially true about running a governmental department.

I really liked the different environments that had their unique looks in Diablo 3. On a side note, while I realize that grinding is part and parcel of the Diablo experience, I don’t have nearly as much time to sit in front of the PC for literal hours at a time. I hope Blizzard puts in some accelerated story mode…
They should take a lesson from the originator of the church brunch, Jesus, and make sure everyone, paying and otherwise, is adequately fed. That’s especially true at that price. At least one person’s cup did not runneth over....
“But I feel like probably 3 out of 4 women I know have sent nudes.”
I’m “meh” on Grande, but that costume is FANTASTIC. “Eye of the Beholder” is an absolute classic “Twilight Zone” episode. You simply cannot talk about the cultural impact of the series without mentioning that episode. Kudos to Grande for knowing a classic when she sees it; she’s got excellent taste in “Twilight Zone”…
LOL! That image is faker than a three dollar bill. I’ve seen better ‘shops done by my son who is 12 years old.
I believe it was Esther Wang:
then-CEO Kevin Burns shot down that idea, saying, “Half our customers are drunk and vaping like mo-fos...”
Seriously, if I had to guess (without looking it up), I would have said it was maybe 6 or 7 years ago and probably could have been convinced it was only 4 years ago.
The staffer in question makes it quite clear in the text messages that the relationship was toxic AND that she was afraid of being pushed out personally and professionally. Whether or not that constitutes harassment is, I guess, a legal question, but I think it does.
I saw the photo and I also saw the Daily Mail’s interpretation of the photo. The Daily Mail’s photo had a Nazi Swastika inside an Iron Cross. The photo of Katie Hill had what looked like an Iron Cross, but the photo was too grainy to tell if there was a Nazi Swastika in the middle. I’d say the Nazi Swastika is…
I totally agree that an investigation needs to precede forcing someone to resign. Hill, for her own reasons, decided to forego that formality which is probably for the best considering the circumstances and the fact that NOBODY was coming to her defense which seems to be a very vulnerable place to be politically.
Bobby Rankin is a better man that I am. If someone had done that to anyone in my family, I very much doubt I’d have the ability to not take a swing at him even if I was at a funeral.
Matt Gaetz must love shoe leather because I’ve never seen a bigger boot-licker than that ass-clown...well, possibly Devin Nunes, but his pandering is more low-key.
However one feels about the proportionality of Franken’s consequences, I think we all agree that it should at least be consistent.
From the text messages, it sounds like Hill was emotionally abusive and manipulative. In other words, the “consent” was probably one aspect of the control. Hill admits her relationship was toxic in the text messages. Does that change anything for you as far as which one was worse?
You don’t think the power imbalance and direct line of authority calls into question whether or not there was truly consent?
