Yep.  When I read the line about “Is there anything left to celebrate” I was thinking “yes, the fact that you don’t live in one of the other hundreds of countries that genuinely have worse governments and civil liberties”.

Are we missing the point? Is there supposed to be a winner?  How do you define a winner in a forum that’s supposed to be for people to get their ideas out to the masses and maybe have holes poked in them by other candidates?

Assuming you’re being serious, and admittedly I don’t know the situation, but you didn’t think to go somewhere else after the first call to the cops or even the first arrest?

I don’t believe there is anything in existence that hasn’t been filmed and put on youtube by some idiot in the world (that you would show a kid).  If you’ve got an example I’d actually be really interested in knowing what it is.

Because some people have kids who, when you say “It’s time to...”, automatically dig in BECAUSE you’re dictating regardless of what you’re telling them to do. Number 1 rule: Don’t advertise. Adopt the Value-for-Value model like No Agenda. You get direct feedback on your content through donations, you don’t bother the crap out of your listeners, and you aren’t constantly self-censoring (or being censored outright) by advertisers thinking you’re not being brand-friendly…

So basically, as in all interactions as a normal functioning human, be polite and mind your own business.

Except that you don’t have to choose - buying stock doesn’t support the company.  Your money goes to the last person who owned those shares.  You’re literally not supporting the company in any way.
