Thanks. Hunted the comments for someone saying this, because I thought I was nuts.

Artist starves due to exposure?

Well..... I’m not a millennial. ;) But I’m with you on the poor underpaid sod. It’s crazy.

Years?? That’s awesome. Out of curiosity, what do you write about?

That’s why I said “for most people”. Good for your friend - but think about how many people end up a) getting something like that, or b) getting something like that AND get paid for it.

Absolutely agreed. Writing for yourself is great, but usually the people doing so want to make the leap to doing it as a career. There’s really no bridge there, for most people, between starting up a blog and getting a full-time job writing, so they end up doing it for free “for now” which turns into never getting

Ya, see, my wife is an editor/journalist with a Master’s degree, and because each publication she works for eventually gets bought and shut down, or just goes under, she freelances a lot. It’s harder and harder for her to find gigs because 1) other people write for free (but worse), and 2) publications expect people

I think you’re taking me a bit literally...

And people wonder how Trump won.

Sony would probably still object to having this associated in any way with their business.

To be fair, the NRA actually advocate for gun sale and ownership as well as gun safety. They don’t advocate for accidental death.

The company whose controller is featured on the story would care.

Seriously. If someone is trying to make a buck by streaming their gaming, but viewers want to see boobs, then you’re offering the wrong service.

Extremely well put. I’m super lily-white, and not American, but it has always appeared to me as though both major parties talked a certain game but both acted pretty indifferent to visible minorities. And to your point, supporting the party that seems to be the lesser of the two evils doesn’t seem to be going so well.

I find it so ironic that we have a generation of people marching on the White House in an unprecedented fashion, demanding that they be disarmed.

Got a favourite recipe you can share?

Very good take. I have a question on one of your points:

I mean... I wouldn’t argue against having a mansion, though... ;)

For me it’s not regretting, when I’ve retired, not saving more and being able to do things I want (nothing lavish) and generally not worrying.
