@ekaterinaballerina: Yeah, my whole family is wicked catholic, and a few weeks ago I totally pwned my grandmother on catholic doctrine and the actual bible. Like, she didn't know about transubstantiation (perhaps not the most pressing concern of the current catholic church, but by god if it wasn't important 500 years

If having openly gay marines would cause such fucking distress and bad order and loss of discipline, then what the fuck is wrong with the marines?

I'm sorry she feels like people only pay attention to her body. She's a brilliant actress. I mean, She's a brilliant actress too. Because she does have a nice body, scarily perfect face (like a statue come to live except good at acting) and cartoon-perfect hair.

@Pierce Nichols: Yes, all homeopaths, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractors I know hate the gays.

@bddcuda: Antarctica didn't suddenly just freeze. The entire continent moved to the south pole, which is why it got cold.

@divinelioness: "No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as any manner of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in

@emceethorshammer: Wow congratulations! You exist outside the patriarchy and the world and it's values have no effect on you. Why are you able to so easily shed the years of socialization and tons of pressures of femininity and social expectation when everyone else can't? You must be magic.

@SparklyTempest: People have told you that you're a bad feminist before? That was what I meant. I've never heard anyone actually say this. It's usually just people saying things like, "Maybe this makes me a bad feminist" or "maybe this means I'm not a good feminist" or "please don't take away my feminist card but."

@Ravenwaift: Well my language was definitely indicating that this might be one part of the appeal of submission. It's not so cut and dried as "this is why X does Y" as much as "maybe part of why X is interested in Y is such-and-such."

@Helen Valentine: Getting spanked is submissive—it's a dynamic of dominance (spanker) and submission (spanked). Submission is a feminine trait—not a female trait or something the vaginaed among us share, but specifically feminine as the construction of the "feminine" by the patriarchy.

@lodown (is waiting for MizJenkins): "But you keep interpreting submissive desires as solely internalization of negative messages in society about sex. If what you're saying is true, it doesn't account for male submissives and female dominants"

@somedisaster: Sorry, I should have qualified several of the points I make that you call out.

@Ravenwaift: "While the act appears to be directly tied to women=submissive, it may not be. Unfortunately, that seems to be the assumption a lot of people make when they look at the roles BDSM people take."

@nolagringa001: I don't think that fucking randoms is unhealthy or disconnected—but that doesn't mean it isn't part of your real life. Boundaries (between play time/work time, friends and fuck-partners) don't mean erasure.
