They are a billion dollar company, they could throw the cheap to manufacture cables in for next to nothing and still make a sweet profit. On the other hand the extra expense is alot for many normal people buying an already pricey toy.

Of course it makes sense for them. Their aim is to make as much money as possible, and if people will buy a system with no way to power it when why would they change that? I mean, what other company has ever done this? Especially with a proprietary power cable.

Yeah, that was my biggest disappointment too. Though maybe I should thank them, this way I wont waste money on a new 3Ds. Those faceplates really sold the new 3Ds for me, so I would be able to replace scratched up ones whenever.

The XL is goddamn massive, who the fuck want to carry a brick around? I have the XL now and the most it gets is dust because I cant take it anywhere unless I have a pack or briefcase.

Right! Also ook at those edge decals, they are clearly sized for the regular 3DS not the XL. Now you have all this white space left over from the decals to the actual edge. Plus the interior isnt gold like it was on the last one, just the top and bottom covers. Its such an obvious lazy money grabbing scheme it…
