“This is the show’s demise even with Joey Tribiani, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris et al.”

I remember that, they only sold something like 1300 cars in the first year. Propably didn’t help that the lineup they launched with was basically more expensive versions of cars we already had under the Holden mark, like the Astra and Captiva.

I could tell you one thing, I could tell you another, but none of it is as good as leaving it a mystery.

Double nitpick, all the way across the comment section!

Hey man, I’m not going to say shit about anyone being out of touch like that. If that’s what makes you happy, then you keep on keeping on dude. But that’s pretty interesting, thanks for telling me about it, I appreciate it.

Man it’s like nine-thirty of a saturday morning, I’ve a standing policy of no torches-and-pitchforks riots before noon on a weekend.

Considering I posted that before I’d even had my first coffee of the day, I wasn’t even entirely sure I wasn’t a Buick Excelle to be perfectly honest with you.

No worries mate - for all intents and purposes, it’s the same car, they just stuck a different name on, so it’s an easy mistake to make.

If it makes you feel better, I did the same thing more than once when I was in the UK, when I was on the odd police blotter column - I’d automatically correct Vauxhall to Holden out

Of course not, he never did. He’s a gentleman, he always lifted the dishes out of the way first, then put them back when he’s done.

Hey man, they don’t call him “Dirty” Dan Ryckert for his personal hygine. Or, just for that, anyway.

Now playing

Small nitpick - Holden Astra. They don’t really sell cars under the Vauxhall Brand here.

No worries mate. Cracking great film, too.

Also - not my country. I’m Australian, I just lived and worked there for a while.

I’ll back Ballaban on this, he’s entirely right to publish this. Volvo are talking bollocks, and a motoring publication like Jalop should be calling that out.

Belive me, I didn’t forget - if I’d have heard tell of Murdoch sticking his grubby little paws in, I’d have mentioned it, but I’ve not heard anything of the sort, so I left it off.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Nothing is for everyone.

There is, but it’s not automatic. This is pure speculation on my part, but I’d suggest that the BBC simply doesn’t see the point in spending the money - after all, The BBC isn’t your typical network, they don’t have to worry about getting as many eyeballs as possible for Ad Revenue, just for one reason.

Their revenue

Not my words, and I don’t necessarily agree with them - Plenty of Americans out there who know what the game is with the red-tops.

Just a quote to illustrate precisely the level of cynicism that’s coming with the decision to publish these stories, at least at the original source.

Not something I’d accuse them of, certainly.

Sorry about that - It’s short for Pork Pies, which is slang for “Lies.” It’s slightly outdated slang in the UK and Australia, but still in occasional use.
