They also contend that the ending was a farce, that it should be green white checkered like NASCAR, that the race should finish under green. But this race is the Indianapolis 500, not the Indy 502.5 or 507.5. The race is 200 laps. If there happens to be a yellow at the end, so be it. Sure, the finish was unfortunate

I did this road a couple years ago on a rental Ducati while I was staying in Cannes. It was pretty fantastic.

Being on the west coast I recorded the race with my DVR... due to the red flag I ended up missing the last 10 laps of the race. My own fault for not extending the recording. But fortunately NBC was re-running the race at 7pm so I set up that to record with a 1 hour extension and spent the day avoiding any information

Wouldn't an easy solution to this slipstream qualifying nonsense be to stagger the grid positions so far apart that it actually becomes a disadvantage to be behind? Then you have drivers incentivized to win the top spot again. Also you have the added benefit of those in back, working together to catch the guys in

Can we lose the sensational bogus headline now that it's been discredited in the update?

Even had the wherewithal to use the windshield wipers to ensure that his passenger had a clean view of the epic save. Ace!

I'm ok with Gavin's artistic liberty in the battle room. It shouldn't affect the story and comes across as much cooler and more advanced than a giant cubed room with opaque walls (as per the book).

I still kick myself every time I think about the opportunity I passed up to buy a runner in 1997 for less than $300.

Like it or not, you have to admit that Fiat is doing it right when it comes to 21st century advertising.

Is "It's your turn to Jag" supposed to be a double entendre? Or is that just a fortuitous coincidence?

It's much much simpler than all of that.

Son, are you on the drugs?

First impressions of the FR-S power plant during my test drive: S2000 motor with redline dropped to 7k.

First thing I ever fixed on a car were the rear drum brakes on my dad's '84 Buick Regal. You know that old saying "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye?" Well after a broken drum spring whizzed by my temple with millimeters to spare I vowed never to own a car with less than 4 disc brakes and I never have.

To echo what a few others have said... As an amateur author/editor of my own car videos, the equipment required to capture excellent video is MUCH easier to attain than what's require to capture excellent video. Especially when you're filming yourself from inside the vehicle or an externally mounted suction cup

This clip is great but it's also tough to watch. It's really hard not to pine for both of these cars today. If you had to pick just one, which would you go with?

Don't give up hope. There are more out there. Consider looking outside the state. Hell, if you find one in So Cal that needs checking out I'd be happy to assist. Nothing like a little road trip to get acquainted with your new car.

A little late to the discussion but I wanted to add my piece about the MR2

I'm going to start the new trend of driving with cut brake lines cuz that's cool.

Slant nosed turbo in "cocaine white"... no question.
