As a former FFXI player, all I can say is that I'm super excited for this game.

I think it's kind of like when the Wii came out. Developers are just starting to wade out into the pool that is Kinect, getting their feet wet, but not fully understanding what it takes to completely submerge themselves in it.

Fix the movement and battle controls. That's the biggest thing.

@jayntampa: I'd pay $150 for Kinect. Doesn't seem too steep, since I'd be good for 4 or more players. Plus, it gives you all of those fun DVD controls. Which saves you more money if you never bought the DVD remote and were planning too.
