I missed the part where the OP was a professional athlete, or even an intense amateur athlete. For us regular schmucks that might make it to the gym twice a week (or never) BMI is fine as a GENERAL indicator of health as it relates to weight.

Sigh... is the OP a muscle trainer or an intense athlete? If we assume the answer is no, which it probably is, then BMI is fine as an approximate estimation of healthy weight.

Of course it doesn’t apply to everyone, that’s why we have doctors who can help us evaluate our health based on our personal history.
