@Indy_aka_Rex: A new set of tires could help a car outrun the police, but as with alcohol or matches the retailer isn't responsible for how they are used.

Installing a mod-chip in and of itself sounds as illegal as using a 3rd party muffler on a car, if they can't prove he directly provided copyrighted software they have a weak case.

@tummytempter: Mostly the smooth controls and silky framerate.

I first played the trial then deleted it, later I redownloaded it played it a little longer then deleted it. Now a few months later I've played countless hours of this game and convinced a number of friends to buy it too.

@aek8: Monkey Island is certainly pirate-themed but other than attacking the glassbottom boat ride at the insult swordfighting segment of Monkey 3 there's no real piracy.

Disney decided to can the good looking game because it wasn't being released and advertised alongside a film, one that had better looking special effects when it was first released 18 years ago.
