That is technically correct, which is the best type of correct.
This. There are rules to driving in NYC. They are not the rules written in the driver’s ed manual, but they nonetheless exist. The biggest one to get used to is that lane markings are merely suggestions (except the double-yellow center divider), but other than that just let the cab get in front of you — it’s not being…
New York City drivers are 100% predictably assholes.
Left lane campers in Massachusetts. F those people. Why would anyone think it’s ok to drive 40mph in a left lane on Mass Pike?
Thank you. I hate to be “that guy,” so it’s nice you’re doing it for me.
Nah.

It’s beautiful, but I think it would be better without the giant fucking infotainment screen hotglued to the dash.
It got almost hilariously absurd under Obama, but people had already done that for the entire history of US presidents. Like, presidents have basically won and lost elections of gas prices.
Another way this protest is aiming at the wrong target:
Ohhhhh you got one of them fancy dishwashers eh? Probably got that Sani Rinse setting, and Extra Wash and Power Wash noise... just sit back and listen to it blasting away all the foods. Your dishes probably get thoroughly dry and don’t get water spots either.... pshh.
Well the rest of us real folk who dont do the…
No I’m saying your draconian idea is ridiculous and needlessly punishes the innocent. That’s how you get shit policy like prohibition and the “war” on drugs.
Telecommuting is the right answer to virtually resolve everything, and Nuclear reactors to resolve power consumption/production. It’s not black and white, but I see no downside to it...potential Chernobyl pt 2 aside.
I mean you really want that person who’s willing to road rage with a gun, sitting next to you on a bus or a train? We seen what these crazies are doing on planes. Sanitation and overall freedom aside, public transport sucks because it’s public. I’m gonna say this over and over again, a push for permanent Telecommuting…
That’s a good point. As to the death traps, I’d guess it was a case of back in the day, we just didn’t know any better. But we have certainly learned.
Thanks. I often see statistics about deaths per mile traveled and I’m like “that’s not helping if everyone is driving more”.
The rate of deaths per 100,00 has been steadily going down, although it did go up slightly in 2020. Our best year was 10.49/100,000 in 2014. The rate in 2020 was 11.67/100,000 but it fluctuated up and down between those years.
Maybe it’s time we start increasing our driving standards?
