Doesn’t look close to anything like 45 degrees to me. I’ve grown up sailing and raced on all different kinds/sizes of sailboats. I’m sure it was terrifying, but you aren’t just walking around on a boat that’s heeled over at 45 degrees.

Musk is an idiot all too frequently, but in this, he’s not wrong. Sending a satellite to Mars places considerable limits on the transmission power of the satellites in orbit (dishes are limited in size, transmission hardware needs to be low-mass, etc.) Satellites can’t share frequencies, and a dozen other restrictions…
petabyte(bit)/second hasn’t anything to do with the transmission propagation rate, it has to do with the transmission bandwidth. Transmission delay has to do with the transmission propagation rate; as you noted, latency.
I think that it is ok for neighborhoods/ cities to want a peaceful environment. I don’t think that “unmodified” vehicles should be exempt from sound enforcement you should be able to short shift/keep the vehicle in a higher gear to keep the RPMs down. There is a difference between driving a loud car and being…
Speed has never killed anybody. Suddenly becoming stationary, that’s what gets you.
On one hand this a cop flexing their ego. On the other hand don’t speed in a convoy it’s shooting fish in a barrel. Go to a track you clearly have the money.
I think”DRL” actually stands for “Dark Rear Lights”. I have no clue why some cars have a switch setting on the dash to turn off the tail lights.
This rule is unknown by Oregon/NorCal drivers in my neck of the woods (literally). H199 between Crescent City, CA and Grants Pass, OR has several turnouts on the CA side in the 2 lane twisties through the Smith River canyon. Like 50 miles of road in both directions. Campers and motorhomes pulling vehicles will pass…
What has made it worse is that dashboard lights are on continuously, day and night. Back in the day when I was driving at dusk, looked down, and discovered I could no longer see my speedometer, I would say “Oh Shit”, and turn on my headlights.
YES! Don’t pace me!
Honestly, I think Automatic Headlights have made the situation worse, not better. I’ve actually argued with people driving around with no tail lights on at night who honestly believe their headlights were set to Automatic.
Your vehicle may have automatic headlights, but you still have to make sure they are set to…
I would like to add: if you’re going straight at a red light on a multi-lane street and there is zero to little traffic, don’t get in the right lane. Some people want to make that right on red
Goes triple if you are in tourist spots. I get that our landscapes are nice and pretty, but if you want to enjoy it then you need to pull over and do it from a lay-by.
If the traffic is stacking up behind you, you are going too slow. Either pull over or speed up until it spaces out again.
In traffic on multi lane roads plan ahead for your turn. fI you find yourself in the wrong lane to turn, just keep going and turn at the next intersection or onramp. Don’t turn from the wrong lane, don’t dangerously cut across lanes to get there, and for God’s sake don’t stop in the middle of the non-turning lane…
I got a +1 for ya. Intentionally double parking to save spots for someone.
Another one -- don’t drive in someone’s blind spot. I can’t tell you how often people do that here in FL
I would like to add: if you’re going straight at a red light on a multi-lane street and there is zero to little traffic, don’t get in the right lane. Some people want to make that right on red, especially if you’re the only two cars around.
I cannot believe “on a freeway move right unless you are passing slower traffic” isn’t listed.
I’ll add one related to “Don’t go in to oncoming traffic”:
