Yeah, you cannot encourage people to ditch their cars by increasing the ownership cost of cars. It just doesn’t work, because the cost of public transport is always whatever the cost of the car is plus the cost of the public transport option. The only way to do it is by making the cost of public transport go away,

It will not matter if the MBTA was free for customers if no one in or around Boston wants to use the service.

Also, the cost savings from getting rid of “fare officers” and the related BS that comes with it makes a ton of sense.

Make all public transport free, it is already taxpayer funded in one form or another, directly or indirectly, so might as well just make it free and save money on having to run office costs in calculating fares and subsidies.

If only she had a digital tire pressure gauge this could have been avoided

Why get rid of the boob light? <woke>Because its toxic misappropriation of female bodies is literally an act of violence toward women, and therefore we must immediately cancel and dismantle every boob light — which is much more fun if someone else owns them. Grab your pliers! It’s a small but necessary step toward

Thank you. I think some people try way too hard to find a reason to be upset. Bunch of keyboard warriors with opinions forged by nothing other than a picture and a few high level specs. It’s been what, 20 years since the Integra existed? Do people expect nothing to change with regards to technology, market conditions

Looks suspicious. Doesn’t help that the axes aren’t labeled. But shouldn’t the effective tax rate be zero up to at least the standard deduction?

That’s just wrong. I’m from a rural area and I don’t know anyone Republican or Democrat who thinks this wasn’t assault with a deadly weapon. Nobody thinks this is a youthful indiscretion. He deserves significant jail time.

Touchscreen will always be a horrible option in cars as long as they take away the drivers eyes and attention from the road. And it should be illegal to operate it while driving. Buttons and dials you can actually use the touch of your fingers to operate and do so without diverting your eyes from the road.

Yep that’s true about the Netherlands. Also, what no one really talks about the Netherlands, is that it is second place in the EU for cyclist deaths.  Only behind Ireland.

“according to police reports he failed to control his speed”

How comfortable are you admitting you don’t know something?” is one of my signature interview questions for managers. If the answer is “I’m not” or any variation of that, it’s an instant rejection.

Yeah, it’s like the APR on my credit cards. I have no idea what it is or if it’s good or bad because I never carry a balance. I care only about the cash back and other rewards.

Some high credit scorers get high-priced loans.

Paying tax on money you haven’t received

This is limited in scope and exempts retirement accounts, the main way most of us save. As for market effects, that has less to do with a tax and more to do with the market’s disconnect from reality. If stock price were an actual indicator of performance, this would have no real effect. Maybe we could stop seeing
