1996-1999 Chrysler Sebring convertible with the Mitsu V6 has two of the above annoyances:

Yeah, “Wheel of Fortune” contestants are morons for this same reason. I can’t even watch anymore because nobody plays strategically.

Don’t be obtuse just to make a point. A Chiron running an average USPS route would get scary-low mileage.

Sunroofs and manumatics are completely region-specific. Never used a sunroof except in California, where I use it all the time. Manumatics are pretty useless in flatlands but essential for engine braking in hilly areas.

Exactly. "Because he has the same prime minister as me" is a really dumb reason to like someone. Plus, if we went by residence and team HQ, we'd only ever hear the anthems of Monaco and the UK.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m also cool with “God Save the Queen” because it’s so damn short.

Who says I'm not? Just sharing one opinion among many.

:-D

Here’s the thing: I just don’t care. Has nothing to do with being weak and fragile, I think it’s just an unnecessary waste of time. Who cares where you’re from? All the drivers “live” in Monaco anyway...

How ‘bout we also stop with the national anthems? More tired of the jingoism than I am about the display of one cool technology (modern aircraft) in the presence of another (F1 cars).

HEY! The rest is garbage, but camping in the left lane should be a capital crime.

Well, a bit, in that the risk of death is likely less due to the glacial speeds, but that’s not to say hypermiling in traffic is really safe, either. A car going 25 mph in a place where everyone else is going 45 or more can be a huge problem that can lead to wrecks.

I mean, the point is still valid because the second-highest viewership in Netflix isn’t anything like the second-highest viewership in primetime in 1980. But the bigger point is, who cares as long as they’re funny?

Do you think that most people outside of the comedy movie nerd scene knew who Buck Henry was in 1975?

Yep. SNL is a sketch comedy show. It should be graded on how good a sketch comedy show it is.

Thank you!

Firsthand experience, this will change your life. Not very much, but definitely for the better.

Agreed. Nothing except an aircraft D-check would have caught this.

How ‘bout setting up a Cosmos watch party first? “You see, Carl Sagan is the nicest, smartest person who ever lived, and we believe in god exactly the same amount.”

Also, a watch-through of The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy BBC TV series. If you’re feeling saltier.

Yes, but you can still test whether we’re training people better by looking at the reduction in the drunk driving death rate versus the reduction in the overall vehicular death rate. Still shows progress.
