Joker was good but it wasn’t THAT good. Knives Out was a better film but wow did it get criminally no respect from the Academy. What gives. And HA to Beyonce’s song from The Lion King remake; like the movie itself, it was trying too hard.

Lupita was fucking robbed. US was intense and her performance is what sold it.
Lupita Nyong’o definitely stands out in Us, which while I enjoyed it definitely was just an OK film. Good premise, but once you put any thought into it it falls flat fast. Much like Denzel in Flight a single performance can definitely be nomination worthy in an otherwise mediocre film. Normally I would say I could…
That’s the trick, you need TNG to have DS9. This is why Snyder’s deconstruction of DC characters is so questionable. You need to construct your narrative before you can deconstruct the story.
People saying that Star Trek shouldn’t be optimistic is the exact same thing as saying that Superman or Captain America shouldn’t be paragons of good.
That’s getting to be a BIG goddamned tab.
Let’s just add that to Trump’s tab: Killing the optimism that Star Trek used to embrace.
I love TNG for what it is. I love how pure and optimistic it is. I love how (unlike TOS) it manages to have consistently solid storytelling and create a viable and realistic universe in a scenario that should be absurd in how good it is.
I will be disappointed if Nightmare doesn’t taunt Dr. Strange while riding a huge nightmare unicorn. (Named Dreamstalker. Also the name of a great psychill/deep trance artist)
They had a plan, and it was stupid as hell: 3 different directors will each make a movie in a trilogy, and hopefully each one would work together to create a storyline.
Its almost like it would be better if they had planned out a trilogy from the get-go, rather than having the director of the 2nd film dismiss a lot of ideas from the 1st film, then having the director of the 3rd film dismiss a lot of ideas from the 2nd film... making the 3rd director cram what sounds like 2 movies…
Dear Disney:
Plus, Mahershala Ali proved you don't have to take over / destroy the universe to be one of the best Marvel antagonists.
Can we get a Disney+ Unbeatable Squirrel Girl show, please?
- Alexander Knox and everyone else of “Tim Burton’s Batman” Earth
People. What if it’s Walter Peck’s family and he just impounded all of their stuff lol!
It’s not actually Yoda — “Baby Yoda” is just a shorthand everyone’s using instead of “young same species as Yoda creature,” since his/her name hasn't been revealed yet ...
I’m still confused about how a baby yoda is even a character. I’m not paying for another streaming service so will likely never see the show, but isn’t Yoda already dead at this point in the Star Wars timeline?
He says all the things. It was glorious.
“Great things hap’n when you’ve got America’s Cap’n” was never my favorite catchphrase, so I won’t mind if it’s omitted.
