1980s: Why did you cut the 30 minutes from ALIENS/ABYSS et al?

A coworker’s little girl wanted to be Rey this Halloween, but then she wanted to be a Ghostbuster.

The Marvel Epic Collections of ‘70s and early ‘80s material are pretty solid, at least as far as the less well-known stuff goes. There’s Iron Fist (solo), Power Man & Iron Fist, Moon Knight, Black Panther, the Englehart Doctor Strange, and the Roger Stern/John Byrne Captain America, among others. At $35, they’re more

Letting the casting go for a moment because it’s done (and it’s not like they chose talentless movie stars instead of competent actors) I am looking forward to it because I have always loved Doctor Strange though he suffers from “The Superman Effect” in comics, which is to say every once and again a writer who can’t

If that had been the case, Leto might have tried to become a sorceror for real, ultimately summoning a demon.

Oh, I never said I wasn’t a hypocrite, because I like those books too! :)

For CIVIL WAR III, they should go meta where copies of the first two CIVIL WAR sagas fall into their universe from ours and like, I don’t know, Rocket Raccoon thinks that the first is the shittest and Squirrel Girl thinks the second is the shittest and they all kick fuck out of each other. Again.

Everyone should be reading Silver Surfer. It’s a warm, funny and delightful read, and has just about nothing to do with the rest of Marvel continuity.

Marvel comics are really amazing so long as you can find a way to read around their stupid events.

I mean, I know that these are ridiculous story lines to begin with, but this is just being stupid for the sake of being stupid.

Then the older Ivy could get killed off later on as needed.

THIS.

This show needs longer time jumps. Many of these things could be avoided if they would just admit to themselves that they started this story way too early for what they clearly want to do with it.

I honestly feel as though a major studio blockbuster simply can’t risk devoting that much time to adding emphasis on plot and emotion but I’m definitely glad that there are artists out there willing to bring life to stories such as these. No doubt an indie or Sundance superhero flick would kill it if done right

Its amazing how a short film can have more to say than a movie or a tv show.

Even unofficial fan films like this understand how to do a Superman story better then whatever the fuck Snyder is doing. Hell, we actually have character development for Clark that isn’t just given by having one character monologue about how Super Special Awesome he is while he stares blankly at them.

It was like Star Wars: New Hope Targeting Screens AWFUL.
