Yeah I’ve never bought into the whole “get it out of your system with a wild night” philosophy. Not surprised to hear that the trend is dying. I’ve had a few friends that have gone that route with their bachelor party and every one of them regretted it.

Thanks for this! I was diagnosed with IBS and Ulcerative Colitis a few years ago and humor has certainly been a way to cope. I’ve figured out (mostly) what I can and cannot eat but it took me years to do so and I still get some surprises now and then. If I’m at a work event that has food I typically just stick to very

Well dang...

Love the review. Thanks! So what is the cadence of the campaign? Do they stick to fairly stringent scripting like previous CoD? Also, do they have the typical “explosion > blurred screen > friend helping you up from ground” scenarios that repeat throughout? Are the enemies whack-a-mole until you move forward to a

LOVE your writing Heather. Thanks for putting your thoughts together for this. I will be particularly interested to see how these game evolves months on.

Well said. Growing pains is a great way of putting it. To their credit, both Sony and MS have highlighted that the next gen consoles will make loading and installing times a priority. It seems like they know just as well as all of us how bad these have gotten.

Yeah that absolutely seems like the way to go. The strange rituals of this generation are just bizarre.

Haha. Thanks! To be fair, Switch physical games still more or less play quickly after putting them into the console. I got Mario Odyssey for Christmas last year and I was playing it within a few minutes. Not the case at ALL on PS4 or Xbox physical copies these days though.

For me I actually think installing a PS4 disc is the most frustrating thing this gen. It can’t be done remotely, you can’t play other games while it is being installed, and it for some reason takes FOREVER. Not to mention that once you get it “installed” you have to download updates (which can be as large as the game

Amen. I resisted the peer pressure from friends to buy Division 2 and now Breakpoint and I’m LOVING my video game time. I recently beat God of War, Dishonored 2, and now I’m playing through Spiderman on PS4. I’ve enjoyed each one and my friend group has already moved on from Division 2.

Yup probably. It makes me personally just not want to buy any games after May 2020. I’ll just wait 2020 out and see what I can just get on PS5 instead.

I hope they don’t do the “PS4 exclusive!” marketing campaign and then do the “oh by the way you can also buy the PS5 version” when PS5 comes out.

Yeah Sony has a pretty great track record at letting their developers take the time they need.

So these will absolutely be re-released on PS5 right? Do we know yet how cross gen will be handled this time? It makes me just want to wait and buy the GOTY edition on PS5 or whatever.

I will NOT be pre-ordering this game next year!

Word. I don’t know anybody who played Project Stream beta that is now skeptical about Stadia. It kind of blew me away. By the end of that beta it was indistinguishable for me from local hardware, and I was playing it on a crappy work laptop with no dedicated GPU.

Not to mention the fact that many games now won’t work without an internet connection anyway. When you play the newest Destiny 2 expansion or Fortnite you aren’t playing a local game. Without the online infrastructure that Destiny 2 disc is a coaster.

Absolutely on point. Well said.

I also think there is a component of just wanting to own physical media. I get it. It’s a tangible thing that you can protect and look at there in your physical library. I was actually kind of like this when streaming media first started becoming a thing. I just didn’t trust that it would be as good or as consistent

Yeah I’m pretty much resigned to the fact that I will never be on the cutting edge of Destiny again. I’m fine with playing the basic version of the raids and maybe getting to the max level before the next expansion (but probably not). I’m sure a new expansion will come out in Spring 2020 and they will gift all of us
