I frickin love my Panasonic plasma. Got it about 5 years ago and I still prefer it over my family room LCD. The black levels are so awesome on plasmas and the refresh rate can't be beat. Video games and live sports are amazing on plasmas, but you do have to watch out for glare if you have them in a brightly lit

HAHAHA.

Yeah its not like my wife said I couldn't play or anything (she enjoys games as well, just not MMOs). I just decided for myself that I wanted to move on and explore new things. I found that I was missing out on other games because I was spending so much time in WoW.

I really loved my time in WoW. I'm glad I'm out (have a wife now and just wouldn't work with my priorities) but I never felt as though I wasn't getting my money's worth in the 3 years I played it. I do kinda wish the lore was a bit less derivative, but I did enjoy their humor.

Yes the second cartridge method is my favorite. Absolutely crucial.

I ended up buying it and have started playing it. I've ran into a few unsightly bugs unfortunately, but otherwise you are exactly right. It is more Arkham gameplay and I'm really having fun.

Well first of all I typically wait for a deal. This past year for instance I got PS+ for $30. I never pay $50. Secondly, I know that not everybody has reliable internet access. It's implied that this PS+ or Xbox Live free games would not be very effective for those people. But that is not really what this

Great point about the PS+ games on Vita. You honestly could buy a Vita today without having to pay for a single game and still have a great library that is guaranteed to grow every month. Uncharted, Wipeout, Gravity Rush, Terraria, Pixel Junk Shooter, and so on.

Nidhogg. I got this on a steam sale last week and played probably 5 hours of it in two days with my nephews. We were planning on playing Mario Kart 8 but Nidhogg just kept pulling us back.

I got it recently for PC and was surprised at the lack of people playing. It takes FOREVER to get a campaign together. I waited 30 minutes on Saturday morning and we couldn't get enough people to join to start a campaign. Kinda depressing.

Well said. Ultimately it was a foul. You have to get the ball first in the box. I've learned that the hard way a few times as a defender in my youth (once in a state championship).

Yeah I think I'd rather just play City again. I got the GOTY edition in a humble bundle a few months ago.

Nice. I thought Gold ACIV came with the DLC included?

Well I guess that's what I'm torn about. I guess 74 is somewhere between mediocre and good. I guess its more about the time commitment than the money.

Nidhogg for $5, Dragon Age Ultimate for $7.50, Kingdoms of Amular - $5. I'm currently tempted to get Arkham Origins, but I just can't bring myself to buy it since the reviews were so mediocre. I'm having friends over this weekend for a Nidhogg tournament though.

Wait, is this like Candy Crush Saga then? I love that game on my iPad. I'm so confused.

I don't have a particular problem with the game. Ratings are there for a reason after all, but when it was included so prominently in Sony's press conference it really made me cringe. Showing this level of violence on such a big stage really makes it harder to explain to non-gamers that not all video games are

Amen to that. I finally got around to playing Crysis 2 about a month ago and it just doesnt excite me at all. I don't even think I'll finish it.

Great article! What real life sport do you think best translates into video games?

My method is this: Never spend more than $10 for a game. Its kind of like a game in itself! That being said, I am like 2 years behind on video games so I completely understand that this wouldn't work for people who want games that are new.
