The game, I hope you meant "beat the game".

Nailed it!
The whole point of X-2 was that defeating the big bad guy doesn't magically make the world perfect again. Without a common evil, the remaining people will find something else (each other) to fight against. A great idea if I've ever seen one, it was just really, really poorly implemented.
StateOfRhodeIsland backed this project.
Pink moogles are Final Fantasy's Kotaku fish, kupo!
Lightning at the moment. Or square in general. Damn, that's so meta.
You know, I don't like XIII. I don't. Simple as that. But I can admit it did some things right.
I have loved and at least liked nearly EVERY sequel to so called games that "no one asked for"
It's hilarious that people care more about the fact that it has characters or things totally non gameplay related and the games themselves are vastly closer to what so called "Fans" have somehow thought FF to be.
X-2, XIII-2,…
exactly. got an emulator just to play the original, and when i see the new hd remakes of the others i get really jealous xD
God, I miss March of the Black Queen. One of the few SRPGs I've ever thoroughly enjoyed. I keep hoping it'll make an appearance as a PlayStation Classic someday...or get remade for handhelds a la Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.
comedy gold
(Note: @getB3NT says you get that error message if you swear in a private Skype call, but I just spent like five minutes cursing at Tina on XB1 Skype, and I didn't get anything like that. Others are reporting that they've gotten similar message for swearing on the video-sharing app Upload Studio.)
I found that to be more of a problem with OB64 than with March of the Black Queen.
You're basically reading my dreams with this post.
After Years came first. All The Bravest set a new low both for the series and for Square Enix as a company.
It doesn't help FF13 and its sequels' case when their purported main character never actually feels like the main character.
I wrote a little bit about The After Years last year, so for a full list of reasons you should stay away from Square Enix's newest mobile game, check out that column. In short: it's a derivative, stale rehash of a game that regurgitates its predecessor's plot points, characters, and dungeons in unpleasant fashion,…
FFXIII-2 sold pretty terribly, so I think in this case, Kotaku commenters' personal feelings are pretty accurate.
Jason says, "Don't play this rehash. Rehashes suck. Instead, please these re-releases on iOS, because a re-release is totally better than a rehash!" :)
I love TAY so much!
