The fact that this is all being filtered through the lens of (apparently human) researchers just makes the whole thing even weirder.

That’s an interesting premise for a single-player campaign. I’ve always had an odd fondness for Star Wars stories that play out from the Empire’s perspective.
Stories like this really drive home how unrealistic fictional action scenes are, and how movies/games etc portray the human body as being basically indestructible. I think most people would assume a cut to the arm would be no big deal.
I love this BS justification for Trump— “he got elected because people are being too insistently not-racist, which made all the racists mad!”
This is a problem I have with a lot of anime movies, but the costumes look really cheap and fake, like they’re cosplay accessories rather than proper film costumes. I think it’s because the colours are too bright or something.
None of these preparations come off as paranoid to me, particularly with the political climate between several nuclear powers turning chillier.
This almost feels like Nintendo taking the piss out of Assassin’s Creed.
Looks identical to every other 3D Sonic. They’re fixated on this idea of recreating the linear 2D levels in 3D, which will never be satisfying.
Animations are the least of my concerns. Based on videos I’ve seen, the writing, voice acting, UI and...well, most of the gameplay don’t see great.
Maaan, this is the least interesting route they could have gone down, story-wise. I thought John Marston was a great character, but I’m not interested in the slightest in seeing what he was doing before the events of the first game.
This is the one aspect of the game that feels like a major misfire. Making it more difficult to climb when raining—like if you slipped occasionally, or it took more stamina—would be one thing, but it’s more or less impossible unless you have a backpack full of stamina regen items and infinite patience.
There’s *more* climbing gear? I’m more than halfway through the game and I’ve only found the hat.
For all the deserved flak this game got, it’s undeniably gorgeous. I spent a lot of time just wandering around planets, taking screenshots and admiring the views.
I actually enjoyed my time with the initial release quite a bit, but it couldn’t have been more obvious that it should have been a $20 early access game.
I always thought it was kind of odd that they didn’t set this game in a fictional country, or some non-specific region of South America.
Shadow of Mordor is one of those games I regret not getting into more. Everyone else seemed to love it, but I got bore after three hours. I think the issue is that I was majorly burned out on both Assassin’s Creed-esque open world design and Arkham Knight combat (neither of which I actually liked all that much to…
I don’t get why people do this stuff. Don’t expect anyone to see a distinction between your “ironic” bigotry and actually bigotry, or for anyone to believe you when you claim you didn’t mean it.
Admittedly I haven’t seen the movie in a while, but my take away from Ghost In The Shell was always that Motoko was adrift and being pulled along by the currents of other people’s schemes. The movie’s plot just seems like it’s making that less ambiguous and more directly personal.
...does anyone else find it a bit uncomfortable that the characters being portrayed here are secondary school students?
I haven’t gotten to whatever the fuck us going on in that header image.
