The move to full-on space sci-fi is cool— I’ve been kind of hoping the series would go that route for years— but the aesthetic here looks very boring. I’ve never liked the look of the CoD games, and even in this fantastical a setting they can’t seem to rise above dull, chunky 21st century military trappings.

I finally got around to watching to season 5 recently, and I’m kind of mystified by all the negative reactions to it. Maybe it was worse if you were watching it week to week instead of binging it.

Is there some particular reason why Nintendo is so reluctant to release this? There’s obviously some demand for it, and localising a text-only RPG surely can’t be a gigantic expense.

The fact that they’ve continued going after her even after her firing puts the lie to the idea that they were motivated by concerns over localization or the subject of her thesis.

There’s an in-game twitter thing where your citizens send “chirps” related to how badly you’re fucking up the city. I don’t think that one is meant to be a pun, it’s just saying there’ll be more of them in the DLC.

Soma did pretty much the exact same thing for a part where you’re following a path along the ocean floor. It was a very cool way to let you know immediately if you had gotten turned around by accident.
