Most of my coworkers who watch NCAA, but not NBA, basketball.  They were really exasperated when I tried to explain that Jimmer didn’t really have what it takes.  In a way, I don’t blame them.  If you don’t regularly watch the NBA, it is hard to figure out how someone like Jimmer is likely to be run off the court.

Kind of see this as somewhat of a sunk cost; odds of them attracting a major star are minimal—and the cupboard looks quite bare for the next couple of years. He only gets max money for two of those years, anyway. So they keep to keep a star as they rebuild, and might be in position to add a couple of decent lottery…
