You can’t “rugby-ify” American-style football. For one, there’s no blocking in rugby, whereas blocking is a fundamental essential of football. Without blocking, rugby is less a hitting game (though still many hits are delivered) than football.

That was not at all what you implied. Your implication was much closer to saying teams are afraid of Seattle’s defense because they will severely injure them. You pretty much said it. I don’t see anything that even comes close to resembling what you said you were implying in that comment.

An NLDS game was the single greatest sporting event you ever attended? Would have never pegged you as a Cubs fan.

In case you didn't catch the sarcastic comment from godshamwow, people were dying playing football with no pads and helmets, hence why they instituted them. Your idea is bad, you should feel bad, and anyone who thinks your idea has merit should feel bad. Learn to history.

And that was when the players were like half the size they are now, too. Imagine the carnage with these behemoths.

It would not make people safer. You’d have fewer intentional big hits, but more fractured skulls. We know this, because we can see how football was played in the past (when players were much smaller), and how rugby is played today.

That must be why nobody ever died playing football in the early 20th century.

Go. Fuck. Yourself.

They just announced that he’s at a hospital and has movement in all extremities.

As you can tell by my name, I’m a White Sox and I can’t stand the St. Louis "Play the game the right way" Cards either, but you really gotta wait until you win more than one playoff series before you start dropping that mic.

Don’t worry Cubs fans, this year is REALLY THE YEAR.

Big Ben has the same problem...

One advantage for Jason Pierre Paul is he’s less likely to get called for holding or grabbing the face mask.

Yeah, Manziel was ejected for getting his facemask in the way of #55’s fingers.

Boogie wasn’t the problem in Denver or Milwaukee or Seattle or Golden State or Cleveland. George Karl’s an asshole, which works in college, but the NBA is about players. He has to know this; he’s been a coach for 35 years. Why did he take the job, refuse to compromise on anything, and then expect Boogie to respect

One player can’t carry an entire team. Boogie is a damn fine player though. Legitimately one of the best big men in the league.

Nah. A guy doesn’t get his own snake in the grass emoji from multiple players because all the various players were the cancer.

JPP can provide some tips.
