and in the ever crazier world i live in. Now that i am a 38 year old father of 2, this suddenly could slot into being my first porsche.... lol. I just wish they put in the cloth door pull straps.

going to jump on this one real quick. toyota did this, but getting all of that stuff off takes all of about 10-15 minutes. It seems insane, but its not that big of a deal. a v6 pointed the wrong way makes this hard i know.

i used turo once, it was amazing got an ND miata and drove it up mt palomar. very sad for this guy and hope the owner of the vehicle just lets it go.

depends on type and popularity of class. i have gotten rental limits on mini vans, but not compacts. just have to read.

fuel costs, gasoline is that much cheaper than diesel in the states. There are fewer maintenance items on gas, not cheap enough for fuel mileage to even cost out. LPG and NG vehicles exist here as well, but they are just converted gasoline vehicles. heck, roush was drag racing a propane mustang drag car for a while.

ok you win the internet today. i’ll take gasoline over modern diesel any day.

there must be some weird requirements they are going after, including service life, human factors, and load floor height. agreed that in the end buy readily available and already RHD vehicles and let her rip. Another post mentioned that ohhh the top of the post office hsa a vested interest in oshkosh.. shocker.

“dodge already had the competitive 6.4l hemi” there i fixed it for you.

postal service was built to run autonomously. operating only off of money from selling postage, and other products it has offered in its life (like some banking products) but seems to not be staying above water.

the abrams? excellent choice. turbine powered tank. 8-10 gallons per mile.

the real need is a mixed fleet. I do agree though, at least up where i live, from DC up the seaboard to southern Maine you have small enough zip codes that electric trucks would work fine. But then that electricity infrastructure. shoot.

IMO, post office should have just bought piles of RHD metris’, which they already started.

DING, why do we sail unfinished navy ships...... because members of congress will lose too much money.

different oshkosh, this is the one that runs corvette racing.

BINGO, anyone that asks about why these things aren’t diesel. its the insane repair costs. Anyone want to venture why the ford 7.3 got designed? its because fleets are going back to gasoline. Also, at least in the northeast, diesel is moderately more expensive than 87.

money talks.

i am sure this decision was made before the keel was laid. This kind of planning was not taken lightly. I wonder what alternatives were explored, have mastrs installed on the other side of the bridge? select a different ship builder?...... Its sad, but i have to imagine there is a lot more to it than “bezos has too

Musk can just lobby hard and pay a pile of money in support of biden, eclipse the UAW money, and he’ll be yours.

Cheap cars are tough. I am an enthusiast through and through, but lets think about a car i might be interested in. Ford Maverick, great that there is a $19k version of it, but i want at min, the 4k towing package. now i am in ecoboost awd. or lets look at another vehicle (i know not cheap to start) ford 150 lightning.

no, why would leaf springs make the difference? Ram has been on coils since 2010.
