I confess I read this and went into instant job envy. And I really like my job.
It looks like the older plates were 10 inches, and the current ones I think are 10.5: http://www.vintageamericanpottery.com/Vintage-Fiesta…
That is weird. Mine are only about ten years old, so I'm not sure how far back the sizing goes. I have some lunch plates and use those probably more often than the dinner plates.
Maybe it's actually a Ferris Bueller's Day Off reference.
Oh, yeah. And the dinner plates are ginormous. You go through a buffet line with a Fiestaware dinner plate, you have snacks for hours.
I really like some of the plus size tops from Lucky for that vibe—they're pricey but I find them sometimes at TJ Maxx. Amazon has them too.
Remember back last fall when Kim gave this interview about North's fashion choices? I looked it up to get the quote—North was little over a year old at this point:
"She doesn't like pink or purple. She likes greys, creams, oatmeal colors and black. Every once in a while she'll add in some color, like with her little…
Amen. That to me is the most distasteful part of this - the unspoken assumption that sports are for men—specifically straight men—and this issue is a way they can pull one over on the ole' ball and chain by sneaking some soft-core porn into a sports mag. ESPN mag's annual body issue is much more credible, plenty of…
I'm about her age, and for most of us there's a difference between being "sexy and relevant" where we are now and trying to stay parked in the past. I agree, Ledisi should have been singing it. And it would have been a far better performance.
Of course you can have a close family and impart your kids with a strong moral compass without religion. I don't know many people - of any faith or of no faith - who would argue against that. But without having seen any of the data or original studies, I see a lot of room here for agenda-driven methodology and sloppy…
Courthouse wedding and we were poor, so nothing too snazzy, but I wore blue suede ballet flats in tribute to my parents - my dad wore a pair of blue suede shoes to their wedding back in the 50s. Many years later I count it among my best life decisions.
I know! I would have climbed that like a tree, to quote Melissa McCarthy in Bridesmaids. He was hot. Still is.
With our combined cardiganage we will rule the world!
... the adhesion of the testes to the calf? Oh, honey, you got much bigger problems to deal with here.
I know—not used correctly, not even spelled right! It was my favorite part.
You're absolutely right—I reread that book every few years and I think it's about due again.
Late to see this, but that's as perfect a use of a Vonnegut quotation as I've ever seen.
Oh, yeah, those are great. I used to have the one that plays "Walkin' on Sunshine" and every day was better for it, I swear.
