As a parent myself and the child of someone who taught teenagers for 35 years, I can atest that kids are often difficult to terrible. Just yesterday I had to purchase a $60 used and in poor condition book for my PhD exams because the library doesn’t have this text--a hugely important text, by the way, which it is shocking that they do not have--but yeah, let’s get a new scoreboard instead of improving…

college sports is the biggest welfare scam run on the government in the history of the country. I’m tired of paying for coaches salaries, stadiums and all that other crap.

Particularly since libraries need funding in things that can’t be named, like databases and journal subscriptions and staffing. Donors usually like to put their name on things, so a scoreboard would be perfect for that (“look at the [donor name] scoreboard here in [donor name] stadium at [your brand name here]…

Go ahead with the scoreboard. Just know it and whatever field/auditorium it’s going to be in will be haunted. That’s what I’d do if I died and they used my money like that.

This is incredibly gross. The reality is they won’t have any issues finding a donor for that stadium project if they wait a few years but libraries almost NEVER receive such donations.

Unfortunately, about half of the country thinks with their hind-brain, and having all these things laid out plainly will make them dig their heals in.
