I think we overestimate how much cultural knowledge kids have at 13-14. In some ways and in some subjects they may have great sensitivity and depth of knowledge, but in other ways they’re still completely products of their environment and they can’t know what they don’t know.

Conflict averse people hate-tweet the most—they can drop a bomb online without the human element that a face-to face insult demands. It’s a haven for cowards. I’d venture a guess that’s a big draw of a place like Twitter, you can be all bark and that’s enough.

I’ll never forget how the actress playing Megan was savaged online during the show’s run. I thought she did a great job playing a young woman negotiating a crazed dreamscape trying to figure out what she was supposed to be doing.

Exactly. Talk about a dumb take. Anyone who actually watched Mad Men would realise that hot take couldn’t be further from the truth. And if any dude who watched it took away that Don was some kind of hero, that would just tell me that particular dude isn’t very bright.

I don’t remember anyone lionizing Don Draper. He was an asshole. He did terrible things. Even when he tried to be good, he just couldn’t. But eventually we learned a little about his childhood, and what made him what he was.

That’s actually the only reason I like seeing her. Not because the hairstyles are flattering, but because I’m almost certain her hairstylist is trolling her. The stylist is on record saying she’s not, but if someone were trolling an obnoxious client and wanted to continue to do so, I don’t think they’d admit to it.

The Queen is totally as culpable as the rest of them. It’s not an accident that there has only been one successful marriage of all of her kids and that was the one who put off getting married as long as possible and distanced himself from the crown. I think that family and that place is toxic.

When they described how the actual crash happened, the car going airborne for a minute and the driver over correcting, it was just sickening.
