Here’s a link to the Vogue piece, in case anyone wants to read more than the quotes pulled out for this article. Much like the article on Emily Ratajkowski’s book recommendations, I think this one is a little unfair to her. The essay is less about gender identity and more a collection of musings about Ratajkowski’s

except that she was raised in a republican household in kentucky and so her bubble was republican. i think we’re all forgetting how very relaxed most people were about politics until 5 years ago.

Yeah, nevermind that she grew up middle class in the midwest with a small business owner and homemaker as her parents. She is literally exactly what these people want in a childhood background, yet somehow she doesn’t fit the bill and isn’t “nice.” Hmmm... I wonder what could possibly be the reason for that. I wonder,

Which has been my frustration this year. As much as I would’ve given my right arm to watch Warren clean Trump’s clock... I’m now down to admitting that Biden *had* to be the nominee. Because the bottom line is that *somehow* (DESPITE all the handsiness!!!) he’s just so inoffensive.

I don’t think Harris or Warren (or any of the prominent Democratic women candidates) could win the Presidency in 2020. I don’t know whether they can in 2024 either. There are plenty of women, too, who just ‘feel more comfortable’ with a man in the White House. It’s maddening.

It’s legit. The first big brouhaha involving Caroline Calloway was that she was offered a massive 6 figure book deal based on those captions, but then flaked on finishing the book and was forced to pay back the publisher. Then it later came out that those captions were ghostwritten by her friend, and the girl tried to

It’s a twitter joke structure in which “No One” is saying/requesting anything specific and then someone volunteers something super personal, weird, etc

“Originalism” is stupid and racist. The Constitution says that black folks are 3/5 of a person. According to this fuckhead, her two children of color are 1 and 1/5 combined.

Watched this over the weekend and fell in love with it (and Radha).

All the Americans being inadvertently racist with their weird US categorizations applied to Mediterranean cultures and this is the one take that actually thinks about it with something resembling a non-US-centric view.

So I have no clue if it’ll be a big deal, but hey, that’s the opinion I’d like to hear about.

All the liberal white women that were on Twitter labeling this bit “misogynist”...yikes.

So Netflix got rid of Cuties which for me as someone who has lived in the 19th arrondissement for 10+ years is Paris, for Emily? However, I would have watched it if Aidy Bryant was Emily, she would have looked amazing in her wardrobe!

Also, Lily Collins is bad at acting.

My comments purpose is not to discredit what you say but I just want to point out that in the corporate world (Emily’s world) it’s quite common for companies to send employees to foreign countries where they don’t speak the native language. And it’s not expected of them. In fact oftentimes time the natives are

When I saw the trailer for this show I woke both of my cats up to make sure someone saw how hard I was sneering at it. Going to another country without even trying to learn the language is not cute, it's just rude. And for a whole ass job? With a company that is explicitly (insert nstionality)? Fuck off.

Magic Mike XXL was LEAGUES better than the first movie. It’s less creepy, plus who doesn’t love a roadtrip buddy comedy?

Magic Mike XXL is the only movie I ever got from the Redbox where I actually watched it a second time before returning it. There’s genuinely something endearing and positive about it even with all the grinding and abs. It also never gets shame-y about female sexuality.

Mmmmm....Jalapeno Ranch Ruffles.

This movie is way better than it had any right to be lol.  It’s delightful.

I think it’s the second one with Andy McDowell where they get boozy with expensive wine and engage in the most earnest performance of “Hard to Believe We’re in Heaven.” It’s cheesy as all hell but lord if Matt Bomer doesn’t sell that shit like puppies and hot chocolate. The PERFORMANCES are fun, but get a little
