He’s a grown man now. Who cares what he did in high school? People need to stop that. For those of us who predate social media, I’m sure our high school stories would be less than flattering. You’re not an adult, your prefrontal cortex doesn’t fully work yet and you have the ability to grow and change. Who I was at 25

Time to play the trap law game...

Sapiosexual? The term is a bit self congratulatory. People are probably just likely to think those who are knowledgeable or skilled in their areas of interest are attractive. The attraction to a person’s ideas and values should be the foundation of any partnership that hopes to last.

As always, when people bring up John Boyega, I think about how he blew me away in Attack the Block.  The industry is fucking dumb if it doesn’t listen to him.

He speaks directly about Kelly Marie Tran earlier in the interview, though, so I don’t think he means to exclude her from the conversation. Boyega’s entire interview is specifically about Blackness, and I think that’s what he’s speaking to here. While I’m sure a lot of what happened to KMT and John Boyega overlaps,

Kelly Marie Tran still counts for this.

I feel my joking off the late-90s steroid era in baseball may have been too oblique here.

I’m surprised he’s married. I don’t believe he’s ever actually been laid. Hell with how uptight and angry he is I don’t believe he’s even ever masturbated.

I wonder if anyone has taken Shapiro aside to let him know, everyone now knows he’s never made a pussy wet. Then again, who is surprised by this.

It’s been pretty priceless watching Ben Shapiro self own by claiming his wife has never had a WAP.

I want to give her the biggest hug. That tweet about her being real life hurt and real life traumatized was so heartbreaking and yet so moving in its vulnerability and anger and honesty.

Inside Out spoke to me in a way that few movies ever have, because I lived Riley’s experiences. Like her, I was uprooted from by home and everything I knew and loved when I was around her age, taken thousands of miles away by my parents and thrown into a new life I barely understood, where everything wasn’t completely

Not only should this movie be shown to young children in school, there should be accompanying teaching/learning materials that go along with it. Color-coding and assigning cartoon personalities to emotions was an absolutely brilliant approach, and if more people had the insight to address and react to what they are

A dark horse for one of the best shows of the last 5-10 years. And one of the rare cases of time-travel that’s both complex, but fair and entirely logical. No idea how the writers managed it. The generational casting is also spookily accurate.

I do have to say that this show seemed to pick a very likeable cast outside of their characters. Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, Van Der Beek, Jackson, all seem like good people.

I watched this last night & loved it. It reminded me in some ways of Beasts of the Southern Wild, where you have a very strong sense of place and a filmmaker who’s doing things because they fit his vision rather than being because it’s how they’re “supposed” to be done.

I think the comparison to Madonna musicly was a little harsh, they were product of their times but on the whole I believe that Madonna has reached that rarified air that few artists reach where after so much success, enablers and suck ups they lose the perspective of what it means to be a normal human and while they

Look, I’m a GenX gal that grew up and pretty much idolized Madonna. But the comparisons are disingenuous most of the time. Yes Born This Way was very reminiscent of Express Yourself. But it was Madge that used the term reductive. Also, again a massive fan of Madonna - I saw her in concert 3 times. I saw Gaga in

I don’t recall seeing many stories about how lonely it must’ve been for Meghan to leave her family (the non-trashy ones) and friends on this continent to move to London and get trashed by the English press.

Yeah, my first thought was “She got off a lot easier than Jake Lloyd.”
No, actually my first first thought was “Daisy Ridley is so cute. I want to sing John Lennon songs on the internet with her.”
